Colour of the Year

For Asian Paints’s Colour Next 2022 film, we created a surreal animated journey built around the idea of transition.

The film was fully illustrated and animated in 2D, with the Colour of the Year running through the visuals as a unifying thread. As light enters quiet indoor spaces, ordinary objects begin to transform; cups open into lakes with swans, buildings morph into jukeboxes, and muted interiors shift into vibrant scenes of life outside.

These poetic transformations reflect a shared longing to step back into the world.
